Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology officially released the list of enterprises certified as 2025 “Advanced-Level Smart Factories.” Nanjing Kerun Lubricants Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “KERUN”) was successfully included in the list, thanks to its outstanding practices and innovative achievements in the field of intelligent manufacturing. This recognition not only affirms KERUN’s leading position in digital transformation and smart upgrading but also injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of Jiangsu’s manufacturing sector.

The “Advanced-Level Smart Factory” certification is a major initiative by Jiangsu Province to accelerate intelligent transformation and digitalization in manufacturing. It aims to establish industry benchmarks through rigorous evaluation, thereby guiding the sector toward high-quality growth. The 2025 certification focuses on the integration of industrial software, the application of smart equipment, and collaborative innovation across the industry chain. Through policy incentives, it encourages enterprises to move toward high-end, green, and integrated development.

As a leading enterprise in the industrial media sector, KERUN has actively responded to the intelligent manufacturing strategy set out in Jiangsu’s 14th Five-Year Plan. Centered on the concept of “Industrial Internet + Intelligent Manufacturing,” KERUN has systematically advanced the construction of smart factories. Its already operational intelligent manufacturing base features fully automated, fully digitalized, and fully integrated management for large-scale, customized production of high-performance metalworking fluids, with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons.

The smart manufacturing base is centered on full-process digital management, enabled by the KERUN e-Station Industrial Internet Data Integration Platform. The platform integrates systems such as ERP, PLM, MES/DCS, CRM, and OA to achieve seamless data connectivity across the value chain. It supports data-driven decision-making and enables end-to-end digital management. A comprehensive product lifecycle management system has been established, driven by material-based management and BOM as the central thread, to optimize end-to-end process linkage.
Customized R&D and manufacturing collaboration is achieved through the integrated data platform, significantly reducing product development cycles. Supply chain coordination is realized via systems such as CRM and ERP, while synchronized production and distribution are achieved through ERP, DCS, OA, and CRM platforms. A big data and AI-powered analytics platform supports dynamic inventory monitoring and integrated management of production, sales, and finance. Additionally, a smart management platform has been built around key operational areas—including customer service, production scheduling, and quality management—to enable seamless integration from mass customization to intelligent manufacturing execution.

Looking ahead, KERUN will take this recognition as a new starting point to further enhance its smart factory initiatives. The company is committed to establishing a national-level intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory, offering replicable transformation models for upstream and downstream enterprises, and contributing to the intelligent and green development of China’s manufacturing industry.
