From November 24–27, the 10th Member Representative Conference of the China Heat Treatment Industry Association and the 2025 China Heat Treatment Industry Conference for Plant Managers were held in Nanjing.
The year 2025 marks not only the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan, but also the strategic starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan, a key moment for China’s manufacturing sector as it advances toward high-end, green, and intelligent transformation.
As one of the most influential annual events in the industry, the conference gathered experts, enterprises, and technology leaders.
As a co-organizer, Nanjing Kerun Industrial Media Co., Ltd. (Kerun) actively participated, showcasing its technological capabilities and system-level solutions that will help the heat treatment industry embark on a new journey under the 15th Five-Year Plan.

PART 01 Thought Leadership – Insights on the Intelligent Evolution of Quenching
At the main forum, Mr. Zuo Yongping, Deputy Director of Kerun Industrial Media Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech titled
“Trends and Strategies for the Intelligent Development of Quenching and Cooling.”
Starting from the industry’s core challenge — “the invisibility and uncontrollability of quenching and cooling processes”— Mr. Zuo outlined three key directions for future development:

Greater transparency: using scientific models to visualize real-time changes during vapor film and boiling phases;

Enhanced controllability: optimizing cooling paths through modeling and data-driven process adjustment;

Smarter operations: integrating online monitoring, automatic replenishment, and early-warning systems for fully controllable cooling.
He emphasized that future quenching will evolve through the convergence of data-driven and mechanism-driven design, shifting from reactive correction to proactive engineering, and from experience-based manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing — ensuring greater reliability for high-end equipment.

PART 02 Three Technical Sessions – Demonstrating Professional Depth
In addition to the keynote, Kerun’s expert team participated in multiple specialized forums, sharing insights on induction hardening, rolling functional components, bearing materials, and vacuum heat treatment, highlighting the company’s ongoing innovation in core processes and industrial media technologies.

At the Rolling Functional Components Forum,
Mr. Niu Wenming, Technical Supervisor at Kerun’s Metalworking Fluid Engineering Center, focused on challenges in induction hardening of ball screws and cages — such as emulsification, foaming, residue, and corrosion.
He introduced Kerun’s KR6580 water-soluble quenching agent, featuring four major improvements — anti-emulsification, low foam, anti-rust, and high stability — which enhance spray uniformity and batch consistency.
The integration of online monitoring marks a critical step from experience-based operations toward visualized and digitalized induction hardening.

At the High-End Bearing Materials & Heat Treatment Forum,
Mr. Zou Lei, General Manager of Kerun’s Shanghai Division and Sales Director, discussed extending bearing life and consistency through process synergy between heat treatment and hard turning.
His proposed route — induction penetration heating + die correction + aqueous quenching + precision hard turning — can reduce distortion, eliminate white layers, and extend part life by 10–30%.

At the Heat Treatment Process and Equipment Seminar,
Mr. Liu Hui, Technical Supervisor at Kerun’s Metalworking Fluid Engineering Center, presented “Technological Development and Application of Vacuum Quenching Media.”
Addressing the need for cleaner, more stable, and lower-distortion vacuum heat treatment, he showcased Kerun’s specialized vacuum quenching oils — emphasizing their brightness, cooling stability, and deformation control.
Case studies, including new-energy gear components, demonstrated the effectiveness of Kerun’s solutions as vacuum quenching evolves toward greener, smarter, and more consistent performance.

Together, these sessions embodied Kerun’s philosophy of “practical, reliable, and ready-to-implement” solutions, underscoring its professional depth and long-term commitment to serving high-end manufacturing.
PART 03 Technology Achievement Exhibition – Showcasing System Capabilities
During the concurrent “14th Five-Year Plan Technology Achievement Exhibition”, Kerun’s booth attracted strong attention from industry partners across the supply chain.
The company presented a comprehensive one-stop display of its heat treatment system capabilities, including:
